Keep your fingers crossed for me! I just found out about a dental assisting job at the VA dental clinic here. I'm still working at the VA in research -
pushing paper is not my 'thing'. Besides its temporary and the assignment will end in January. Today I found out about an opening for a dental
assistant and really want to get back to what I know. After I'm there I hope they might move me back to radiology and I'll actually be 'home'
then. Anyway, I'll turn in the application tomorrow but won't hear anything until the end of October. One of the men in HR told me that not many
applicants apply for dental assisting jobs and even though I have no military connection, I still have a good chance. (My dad retired with 25 years in the AF
but that doesn't help me) So, keep me in your prayers please! This would be a great job for me! (better pay than I'm making now and possibly a lot
more - if they consider my 40+ years of experience and hire me at a higher level)

i really hope you'll get that job if it's one that fits you
i'll keep you in mind for sure ! It's quite nice to hear that the world is not
all in chaos and comapnies keep on working and hiring i'll keep fingers and toes crossed satex!
Hubby lost his teaching job this summer because of job restriction by the state for the new school year and he starts a training tomorrow to start a whole new career where hopefully there's more job opportunities and being much less dependant of state policy - we both come from civil servant families and always thought we could work for our country somehow but the way it is we'll just move to something else and leave the state with being the worst employer ever. I still don't know if I keep my job or not (my contract ends on nov. 30) and i start to have troubles to get organized with my planning but I seem to be the only one concerned ! geez ! the best story i heard today came from Lula, she works for a school in Uk and her council can't pay them thsi month because they have their money in the iceland bank that is in bankrupt !!! tell me who are the idiotics in that council who decided to put all their money in a foreign bank, especially one from a very small country !??? Lula will make it if it doesn't last long but some of her coworkers will get into trouble if nobody comes to help them ! stupid world! |

I will be so glad for Dr. X and you both if you both get permanent jobs forever that are at the good salary level you both deserve
and that all these state restrictions will go away and never bother either of you ever again. I can't help but feel the state has treated you very badly and both have always deserved MUCH better than they gave to you. I hope every good blessing comes to you as we come upon a new holiday season. I can't believe some of my neighbors have already put their Christmas lights up. Do the people do this same thing in France? Put up Christmas lights on the outside of their house all over the place? I never thought to wonder about this question before. Do they do the same thing in the U.K.? Over here people put lights up on the outside of their houses and apartments just all over the place, all over the roof, the windows, the railings, you name it and they will put a Christmas light on it. lol! Good luck, Magic |

I've not heard anything yet. No interviews or anything. It takes time to get a fed. government job. I PRAY it won't take too much longer because
this temp job is coming to an end early. REAL early. Like THIS FRIDAY!!!!! So, thank you for your kind prayers and thoughts. (please keep them up) I treasure each of you. Gruntmates are still the GREATEST! |
